Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 8" dia. painted metal double hoop w/7.75" tall plush-covered bear clothed in fabric outfit and tin litho shoes. Made in Japan by Alps, 1950s. Box comes w/three of four cardboard corner inserts and has had all corner staples removed, could be replaced if desired. Even moderate aging w/some scattered wear including 5.5" long surface paper break at bottom of main lid panel. VG overall. Shoes and bear's felt hands are attached to hoops' braces, he also has a bell attached to metal rod in back. When wound, he strongly moves his body back and forth, causing hoop to rock back and forth and occasionally go completely around, while the rod w/bell revolves independently. Toy comes w/original key on string and works well. Plush and clothing are very clean w/just some lt. wear and shoes have scattered tiny nicks. VF/Exc. overall.
