Lid has professional glue repair to 2.75" tear at right and glue repair to one corner. Some scattered handling wear w/creases and corner tip wear. Fine overall. Toy consists of a 4.25x8.75x9" tall wire/metal frame w/attached cardboard topper for total height of 10.5". One of the vertical supports has attached wind-up mechanism which is attached to 3x8" tin litho oval platform. Above this platform are trapeze-like wire frames w/two thin cardboard squares w/attached hooks that hold the strings of the two jointed celluloid clown dancers, one of which bears a strong resemblance to Howdy Doody's Clarabell. The Clarabell-like clown holds a cardboard banjo while the other holds a celluloid cane. When wound, platform is in back and forth motion, clowns move about as if dancing. Cardboard tent topper has large "Marionette Theatre" name. 3" split at back right corner and some lt. handling wear, but toy is o/w Exc. and in working order.
