Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 12.75" long tin litho dual vinyl folding rotor helicopter w/hard rubber tires. Made in Japan by Yonezowa, 1960s. Box is complete w/original die-cut cardboard inserts. Creasing to lid which has price sticker remnants of side panel, but retains its shape and is Fine/VF. Helicopter has "Airways Air Port - UH-25 Helicopter" markings and "Air Line" w/bird logo on tail. Tin litho cockpit interior w/plastic pilot under clear plastic cockpit canopy. Passenger compartment also has clear plastic cover, revealing tin litho passenger panel and separate moving tin litho stewardess. This cover has a slight warp. Battery-operated functions as noted on box include - stop and go action, moving stewardess, engine noises, cockpit that lights up, mystery action and revolving twin blade units. All work except stewardess as the belt meant to move her back and forth slips. Toy has few tiny paint nicks but is o/w Exc. Great design.
