Item Description
11.25" tall figure w/vinyl head and arms, cardboard/metal body clothed in fabric sailor outfit. Hard plastic pipe in mouth and feet/legs are metal up to knees. Made in Germany by Max Carl Toys, ©1967 King Features Syndicate. Built-in key in back and when wound, figure raises up/down and then leans back while raising/lowering "Spinach" can held between hands and secured by thin spindle rod. Can is clear plastic holding simulated spinach of green foam (which shows some wear). Underside of can has raised "Made In W. Germany" text. Underside of foot has heavily aged/stained sticker w/"Popeye" name and KFS copyright. Shirt front has tiny .25" sticker w/Max Carl Toys' monkey logo. Working and Exc. overall. Scarce and only the second we've offered in our 49 years.
