Item Description
15x18.5x2" deep cardboard box w/nicely illustrated lid contains complete and unused slot car racing set made in West Germany by Märklin, 1960s. Box is complete w/Styrofoam insert and shows scattered lt. edge/corner tip wear. Lid has some minor penciling. Fine/VF. Complete w/instruction booklet and direct current warning sheet (both of which are aged and show lt. wear). VF. "Racing Track" set includes 1/32 Scale models of Mercedes w/raised emblem on hood and German flag and racing number decals as well as Ferrari w/Italian flag and racing number decals, both w/three-dimensional rubber driver figures in cockpits. Undersides of each have raised text; Mercedes reads "Märklin Sprint 1301 - Mercedes Benz Monoposto 1954" while Ferrari reads "Märklin Sprint 1301 - Ferrari-Supersqualo 1956." Decals have aged but are complete and cars are o/w NM. Rest of set includes straight and curved track sections, remote controls w/wire connections, plastic guide rails/posts. Mint as packaged, old store stock.
