Item Description
First is 1.25" with W&H paper. Reverse has hairline 1/8" cello split laying perfectly flat. Couple of barely perceptible pinpoints of darker tone on the extreme rim edge but of very little significance. High gloss and the button still displays essentially Mint. Next is 2-1/8" without back paper. Reverse has a little darker stain next to the collet but none of this darker tone shows on the front of the button although the front celluloid does have a very slight yellowish tone to it. Color is unfaded and the button has high gloss and displays essentially Mint. Dated for the same 1900 event as the previous item but on this one a devil is pictured surrounded by the text "Oh Sugar! This Beets Me." On both buttons the words "St. Eeb Ragus" equals "Sugar Beets" spelled backwards. Both are rare and this large button is among the most striking of all the early carnival/street fair buttons.
