Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 17.5" long/tall tin litho and hard plastic rocket w/three rubber tires (one attached to metal arm/bracket) made in Japan by KY, 1960s. Box has moderate creasing w/interior tape repairs to lid, including 4.75" vertical tear at left main panel. Main panel also has inked child's name. VG. Large and impressive rocket has American flag as well as "Apollo 15" and "United States" markings. Hard plastic booster base and two-piece nose cone. Can be operated/displayed standing up or laying down. Works and functions include stop-and-go action, metal lever lifts rocket up and down, hatch opens to reveal hard plastic astronaut inside detailed tin litho control room, space sounds and flashing lights. Rocket has a few scattered tiny nicks, but is o/w Exc/NM.
