Item Description
Lot of 15 personal payments records from collection of Scott Brinker, marionette builder plus props and sets designer for the Howdy Doody show from 1948 through 1955 and also continuing in later years in Howdy Doody involvement for the late Buffalo Bob Smith. Five 5.5x11.75" ledger paper sheets have inked entries of "1953 Receipts" beginning Jan. 12, w/four of five sheets having roughly 40 items each, concluding w/latest Dec. 30 receipt w/total of $14,152.40. Items are listed by individual device produced or repaired. Some of note include - Chickapoodle Necklace, Poll Parrot Shoe Display, Rubber Cocoanuts, Clarabell Curtain Booth" and more. Very interesting behind the scenes information. Lot also includes 11 3.5x8.5" payment statement stubs from checks received. Several note payment received for "Marionette Maintenance" w/one noting "Howdy Doody - Macy Day Parade Labor." VF-Exc.
