Item Description
4x5.25" mailing envelope w/image of Howdy Doody as Santa Claus contains complete set of eight 3.5x4.5" Christmas cards issued by Mars Inc., 1950s. Envelope has original typed mailing label and is evenly aged. Moderate edge wear w/2.25" split tear and tape repair at corner. VG. Each card features color photo front w/different character-specific text on inside and related Christmas images. Back of each has "An Original Howdy Doody Christmas Card" text w/Kagran copyright and Howdy as Santa image. Characters vary from card to card but each features some combination of two characters. These characters include - Howdy, Buffalo Bob Smith, Clarabell, Mr. Bluster, Dilly Dally, Flub-A-Dub, Inspector. Unused and NM.
