Item Description
30.5x42" wooden frame contain large and impressive oil painting depicting Conan the Barbarian on horseback, w/woman draped over horse's shoulders. Originally titled "Conqueror," art was painted by Ken Kelly, and was published on cover of "Conan The Champion" Tor paperback book published in 1987 (art is dated 1986) and also as a poster. The protégé of Frank Frazetta, Kelly is considered one of the top fantasy artists of the modern era. Of note, Kelly pays homage to his teacher by including the helmet of Frazetta's iconic Death Dealer character at Conan's side on horse's saddle. Beautiful and striking, a gorgeous image of the legendary Cimmerian. NM.
