Item Description
6" tall constructed mostly of wood plus stiff rope arms, stiff cord tail and rubber-covered fabric ears. Front of body has "Mickey Mouse" decal with 1928-1930 Walter E. Disney copyright. Designed by Disney artist Burton "Burt" Gillette for distribution by Borgfeldt Corp. Tail is attached to a metal lever and this is pushed down causing Mickey's head to rise into the air about .5". Tail is complete with wood tip. Variety with green painted feet, however the right foot is an expertly crafted replacement near identical to the original left foot. Trace of aging to the decal with a couple of minute flakes but nearly 100% complete. Toy itself also shows some light aging, dust soiling but overall remains in exceptional condition. VF. Our last example of this historic Mickey toy sold for $4,000. From the Gary Selmonsky Collection.
