Item Description
10.5" tall solid plaster statue w/flat back depicts Popeye w/his dukes up, forward arm w/incised anchor tattoo. Many different Popeye carnival statues were produced during the 1930s, but this example depicts him w/o his sailor's cap, and a full head of black hair tops Popeye's head. Nice facial accents. Exc. Rare and first we've seen of this variety. Eric Renner Collection.
