22x35.5" thin cardboard poster for "Pre-Halloween Costume Ball" that took place Oct. 30, 1985 at the Masonic Temple in Washington, DC featuring Chuck Brown and The Souls Searchers, touted as "D.C.'s No. 1 Band." Brown (1936-2012), affectionately referred to as the "Godfather of Go-Go" (a sub-genre of funk music developed in and around Washington, DC in the mid to late 1970s) is regarded as the fundamental force behind the creation of Go-Go music. Poster features photo of the band as well as witch and jack-o-lantern at top. Printed by Globe Poster of Baltimore, MD. Poster exhibits some moderate corner tip wear w/creases and some scattered edge wear. Fine/VF.
