Item Description
14" tall doll w/composition head (w/oilcloth hat brim) and painted wood jointed body. Ideal, ©1935 KFS. Chest has "Popeye" name/copyright decal. This is 100% complete. Doll is complete w/original wooden pipe and red felt shirt collar, though this has faded somewhat. All wood jointed areas exhibit wear and composition head has typical crazing, most evident at back of neck w/moderate crazing at base of neck and top of hat; all appears to have stabilized. Face has some moderate dust soiling and left ear has 1/8x.25" flake. Tightly strung and stands upright for display. Fine overall. Scarce large size.
