Item Description
1.25" with Bastian back paper. Photograph of the tractor includes insignia on its side with text above "The Best Built Tractor In America" and with the location of "Cedar Rapids" on the lower rim. The National Tractor Company was the reorganized version of the former Denning Tractor Company. National was a subsidiary of General Ordinance Co. with offices in NYC. Denning went into bankruptcy in late 1919 and tractors were produced under this name apparently during late 1919 and early 1920 when the National was replaced with the G-O tractor from General Ordinance Co. From what we've seen on the internet only seven actual tractors are known across the United States and only two of those are in running condition. Trivial oxidation on the reverse collet. First we've seen and a rare button with a very brief window of production. Celluloid is NM displaying Mint.
