Item Description
Sizes are 7/8" to 3.5". First is 7/8" button not specifically naming Coney Island, but used there and in Atlantic City with slogan "Are You In The Swim?/If Not, Why Not?" No back paper but curl has W&H 1896 patent date. Colors a little faded and pair of tiny craze lines barely showing. VG. Second is 7/8" with famous image with text "Tilyou's Steeplechase/Funny Place." Curl names maker Pioneer Novelty. C. 1920. A pair of tiny and barely seen age dots on extreme rim edge. 97% clean and glossy. VF. Next is button known to have been issued August 1974 with text "Save The Coney Island Cyclone" and picturing roller coaster. Next is button reading "Coney Island Unity Day/Safe Streets/Safe City." Curl reads "Funded By Stop The Violence Grant." This and the following two we believe are c. 1980s. The fifth button reads "Coney Island U.S.A. Booster" and is 2.5" while the last and largest button simply reads "Coney Island." These last four are NM displaying Mint.
