Item Description
2-3/16" and with a weight of 2.47 oz. Front shows high relief portrait along with his name and dates of his birth and death. This side has tarnish and some patina. The reverse has much less tarnish and reads around presidential seal "35th President Of The United States Of America 1961-1963." On the reverse is tiny inscription "Argor 999.9." This is the mark of a company founded in 1951 in Switzerland. They are a metals processor and their current name is Argor-Heraeus located in Mendrisio, Switzerland. We expected to find this medal in Ed Rochette's 1966 book The Medallic Portraits Of John F. Kennedy; however we did not find it listed. Other than the obverse tarnish essentially Mint as issued.
