Item Description
Lot of items related to TV horror host/personalities popular on late-night TV in the 1950s and beyond. Lot includes two fan photos of John Zacherle as "Roland" character. One has "'Shock Theatre'" show name and lists Philadelphia, PA TV station WCAU, dating photo to his years there; 1958-1959. Second dates to around the same time. Both feature facsimile signatures and have moderate scattered aging. VG/Fine. Comes w/original "Krazy Kit" mailing envelope from Philadelphia TV station WPHL that contains two magic tricks as well as "Wonder Mouse Instructions/Crazy Button Instruction" folder detailing tricks. 2.75" long plastic mouse that w/aid of generic thin wire (missing) and small dob of wax, moved as if by magic. Comes w/original card that contained wax as well as a1" dia. Crazy Button metal disc w/sticker inside showing image of "TV-17's Dr. Shock," a Philadelphia horror host portrayed by Joseph Zawislak and based on Zacherle's "Roland" character and used w/his blessing. First appearing in 1969, he hosted three shows, "Scream-In, Mad Theater" and "Horror Theater." He died in 1979 at the young age of 42. Folder mentions Dr. Shock's Scream-In." Crazy Button is thermostatic, flexing and reacting to changes in temperature. Sticker has moderate age spotting and is Fine overall.
