Item Description
These were issued in 1948 in the USA by Quaker Puffed Wheat and Rice as a set of 20 and in Canada by "Quaker Puffed Wheat And Rice Sparkies" with 12 known. Group begins with the Canadian version and these are all five of the 12 known who would qualify as a cowboy star. They are: William Demarest, Alan Ladd (two spots of paint wear but probably the rarest of the group), Ray Milland, Robert Preston, Randolph Scott. The other four are VF to NM. From the USA set all those who had cowboy roles are here with exception of Macdonald Carey. These 12 buttons are Exc. to Mint. Included in the group are: Ronald Reagan, Monty Hale, Tim Holt, Alan Ladd, Guy Madison, Robert Mitchum and others.
