Item Description
15.25" tall hollow painted plaster statue. 1940. Unlike some of these statues that were painted in odd colors, this example has been nicely painted in correct colors w/mouth and eyes painted accents. These statues usually feature Superman's "S" symbol painted on, but this example features incised shield symbol which has been nicely highlighted in correct yellow/red paint scheme. In our last auction we featured another Superman carnival statue from the Renner Collection, but that example featured a chest emblem w/sharp corners whereas this example features rounded corners as incised and is a variety. Some tiny paint flakes to base but still an Exc. example. As nice as any example of any Superman carnival statue we've seen in our 49 years. Eric Renner Collection.
