Item Description
The 1930s paper wrapper for this chewing gum states "Start A Collection Of 500 Buttons." In addition to this set of presidents, sets were issued for baseball players, generals, Indians, movie stars and others. These are 13/16" litho with paint that was very susceptible to attracting dirt and chipping. While about ten of these 30 show tiny traces of paint loss or slight paint toning the set overall is much above average with all buttons at least Fine and vast majority VF to NM. This is the basic set of 30 different, it does not include an error button with the name "Howard H. Taft" but the correct version "William H. Taft" is here.
