Item Description
Lot of three posters. 28x40" Division of Information - Office For Emergency Management poster published by US Government Printing Office #0-455950, 1942. Poster is dominated by image of the American flag w/"Give It Your Best!" text along bottom. Designed by Charles Coiner. Folded as issued, poster has .5" tear along bottom left and 1-1/8" tear at upper right. Some small creases at fold crease intersections and along fold line, but o/w VF. 20x28" OWI poster No. 62 issued in 1943. Smaller of two versions, poster features great image of soldier advancing w/bayoneted rifle and list of major battles thus far in the war - Pearl Harbor, Bataan, Coral Sea, Midway, Guadalcanal, New Guinea, Bismarck Sea, Casablanca, Algiers and Tunisia. Folded as issued, poster has some small creases at fold crease intersections, but is o/w Exc. 16.75x21.75" poster produced/released by Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Poster art by Jack Betts features cartoon of man w/Hitler and Tojo whispering in his ear and text reading "Don't Fall For Enemy Propaganda - Against Our Government - Against Our Allies - Against Catholics, Jews Or Protestants - Remember - Hitler And The Japs Are Trying To Get Us Fighting Among Ourselves."
