Item Description
30x40" Official Navy Poster, Industrial Incentive Division, Navy Department published by Einson-Freeman Co., Inc. in the 1940s. Graphics feature three panels showing sailors, one wounded w/arm split and bloody head bandage w/"Want Some Fun?" text; one emaciated and lost at sea w/"Weather Too Hot?" text; one in torn uniform in jungle w/"All Worn Out?" text. Poster was printed to encourage Homefront production workers to be mindful of their absenteeism.Text at top reads "Think Of Them Before You Take A Day Off." Additional text below each image reveals the name of the actual serviceman and their experience. Poster are by US Navy Reservists Hutchkiss and Lovell. Folded as issued, poster has some small creases and wear at fold crease intersections, but is o/w bright, clean and VF. Campbell Family Collection.
