Item Description
One of the few 1848 pieces issued on behalf of the former president. Listed as DeWitt-Sullivan MVB1848-3. 29mm(1-1/8") copper penny with Liberty head and date of 1842. Bold slogan stamped on front "Vote The Land Free." About 1/3 of the rim lettering worn on the reverse but extremely clean surfaces and obverse slogan is bold. Fine.
