Item Description
Flags were a very popular subject for consumer product makers who gave away a button with their product. Most of these are c. 1898 and 46 of them have a back paper naming American Pepsin Gum. Nine of these are with a W&H paper and 19 have no paper at all. Of the 74 different there are 17 with largely just a minor stain spot or age tone traces. 59 of the 74 buttons display NM to Mint. Most of these picture a flag of a country, with quite a few that no longer exist, and there are a few non-country flags such as "Confederate States", "U.S. American Jack", and "U.S. Revenue Flag."
