Item Description
The first 13 pieces are c. 1900. Each a colorful sheet of celluloid set in a rectangular tin frame with a stickpin on the reverse. Stamped on each tin back is the text "Drink Ware's Breakfast Java Coffee/Mfr. By F. Ware Coffee Co. Dayton, O" plus even tinier text "Pat. Apd For/City Button Works/N.Y." On the first "Egypt" item the frame is free to move around on the stickpin but the others are all fixed in position and NM displaying Mint. Next are two c. 1900 buttons, the first with a narrow tin edge around the celluloid and with both reading "All Nations/Chew Sweet 16 Gum." The tin rim shows Japan flag and the other button, made the same, but with the rim less visible, shows the flag of Spain. This has tiny sliver of cello off the bottom edge not showing from the front. Last are eight buttons from the 1930s set with text "Chew Flagum." These are buttons number 5, 9, 12, 13, 15, 16, 24, 30. With the exception of #13 these all have a W&H back paper. A little tone on the Japan flag button but vast majority are NM to Mint.
