Item Description
4.5" tall Shmoo figure made entirely of seashells. ©1948 UFS. Figure comes w/original string tag that lists the many culinary attributes of the Shmoo. Tag shows obvious wear and has archival tape repairs to reverse and just comes along. Shmoo's body is made of four cowry shells, one w/painted facial accents and figure sits on scallop shell. Face shows scattered lt. wear but rest is VF/Exc. Very unusual item that was likely sold at seashore as souvenir. Rare and first we've seen in our 49 years. Barry Lutsky Collection.
