Item Description
Silvered brass from 1888. When the piece is closed, it is 1.5" wide and the shield is 1.25" tall with a .75" metal rod accented by rwb ribbon protruding below. To activate the piece, this metal rod is pushed upward causing the oval sepia paper portraits mounted on metal to rise up and then move outward so that they are perched over the extreme left and right corners of the eagle's wings. The Harrison portrait is extremely clean. The Morton portrait has combination of pale gray and tan staining but still his facial details remain clear. Most silver luster remains on the shield and eagle. Text below the eagle reads "Who'll Be Our Next President." An early and exceedingly rare mechanical in overall Fine condition.
