Item Description
9x12.5" Morocco cover hardcover w/gilt lettering on spine and total of 74 color and sepia illustration plates. Published as a limited edition of 1,000 in 1946 by The Heritage Press, this edition has first page inscribed to "Eleanor E. Groh" and has been signed by artist Arthur Szyk (1894-1951), well known for his detailed illustrations based on Jewish and Anti-Axis subjects during World War II. Illustrations are full of satire and irony pertaining to Hitler and events in Europe and around the world. Book has some corner tip wear and exhibits moderate wear at top/bottom of spine. Cover is Fine overall while pages remain clean and Exc.
