Item Description
4.5x7.5", hand-trimmed top and bottom likely as used in Virginia in 1856. As ballot instructs, voter put his name "John Hall" on reverse and center has barely visible spindle hole demonstrating it is an actual cast ballot. Top text between portrait is a statement of "Our Principles." Exc. and among the best ballot designs.
