Item Description
Pair of 8.5x11" certificates, among a variety issued between 1939 and 1965 in a number of slightly different versions throughout the years. Over the years, many changes were made to the "Supermen Of America" club membership kit items, some major, some minor. We will address these in this and the following lots #2044-2050. This is pair from the first year and both have 1939 copyright, first at lower left, second at lower right. Each are also low numbers (B 748 and S 2927). Text in body of certificates do not mention "Action Comics." First certificate has typed member name and address w/ink age. Folded into quarters w/moderate wear including pin holes at corners and along bottom margin. A few pin holes have small pulls. VG/Fine. Second certificate has inked member name, address and age. Folded as mailed w/just lt. margin wear, and still VF overall. Franco Toscanini Collection.
