Item Description
This kit is from the final year of issue (1965) despite welcome letter and code folder bearing 1961 copyrights (this is as issued as DC did not update content). Kit includes original window (w/inked price) envelope w/"Supermen Of America" address and inked recipient name/address, 5.5x8.5" welcome letter noting contents of kit and featuring classic image of Superman breaking chains, 5.5x7.25" cardstock "Superman's Secret Code" folder, 1.25" dia. club button and 8.5x11" unused certificate w/o name or address in provided area. Horizontal fold at center as mailed. This certificate differs in that it features a 1965 copyright at bottom. Certificate is numbered "573302" at lower right. Welcome letter mentions "Action Comics" and "Superman" at end as well as mentioning other titles Superman appears in; "Lois Lane Comics, Worlds Finest Comics" and "Jimmy Olsen Comics." Envelope shows expected wear from mailing while all else remains bright, clean and VF-Exc.
