2.5x4" carte de viste-sized matte reads "Gen. Fremont." 1.25" tall beautiful image on tin with "Fremont" below. Tiny emulsion bubbles on right bkg. show only in certain reflected light angles, but no emulsion loss. Blank reverse is missing just a little surface paper but ferrotype is firmly sealed beneath thin overlay paper. Among the largest Fremont ferrotype images known. Rare & overall Exc.
