Item Description
14.5x18.5" wood frame with glass has sealing paper on reverse with Jordan Marsh Company label c. late 1920s. Beautiful hand-colored lithographed print has Currier & Ives 1876 copyright with full title of "Custer's Last Charge. Brevet Major-General George A. Custer, Lieutenant-Colonel 7th U.S. Cavalry. Killed in the battle with the Sioux, June 25, 1876." Minor tanning of bkg. areas. Two 1/16" foxing dots on far right edge. No stain. From the Windsor, VT. estate of Stella Vitta Henry and the Hake collection.
