Item Description
11-3/8x13-1/8x1.25" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains set consisting of Size Medium flocked vest and chaps w/belt as well as braided lasso and cowboy hat w/leatherette brim and collapsible felt center. These sets were issued in various configurations over the years. "Gene Autry" name appears three time on chaps and features images of cowboy on horseback. 1940s. Box shows moderate wear w/large edge split to box bottom and 2" piece off corner of lid, which also has two 1" edge tears. VG. All contents remain clean and Exc. Comes w/4x4-5/8x7/8" deep box containing zippered leather wallet. Box has "Gene Autry Billfold - A Don Gray Product" text w/worn embossed foil image of cowboy on bucking bronco and "Western" lasso text. Box has corner tip wear and scattered aging w/edge splits having some tape repairs. VG/Fine. Wallet has tooled leather design w/repeated "Western" design seen on box lid and picture sleeves, one w/Autry photo card. c. 1950s. Exc. Heavily aged Don Gray card included. Nice quality wallet. Rarely found w/box.
