Item Description
Each is 1-3/8" made of a hard composition material. The first picturing a bear in high relief on a baseball background is inscribed "Cubs" at the bottom. The other has pair of high relief stockings with word "Sox" below. Light dust soil on the white coloration. Reverse of each has incised text reading "Read The Daily News Illustrated Sporting Extra." Each piece has a metal loop at the top joined to a ring which holds a black ribbon. In the case of the Cubs the ribbon has a brass attachment to serve as a pocket watch fob. Where the brass base goes through the black ribbon there is some splitting of the material and a little fraying of the fabric on one edge but the fabric remains partially intact. The Sox piece has a black fabric bow tied into the brass loop. Both early, scarce and Fine. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
