Item Description
Illustrated cardboard box contains rare Sears exclusive set issued in 1955. Box has illustration of Fess Parker as Crockett and shows some lt. scattered wear. 1" puncture to side, but o/w VF. Set consists of 34.5" long air rifle by Daisy w/blued metal barrel, aluminum pumping handle and hard plastic stock w/incised "Davy Crockett" name. Stock has leather boot on end. Fires w/loud pop, comes w/original sealed bag of round corks. Exc. Set also includes 6.5" long plastic powder horn w/"Frontierland" cap and leather sling (which has some oxidation to metal snaps and is Fine/VF w/Exc. powder horn) and leather pouch w/shoulder strap that holds soft plastic canteen w/ Crockett sticker. Soft plastic has aged and has several cracks along one side. Good/VG. Leather pouch originally held plastic Davy Crockett arrowhead; this is missing. VF. Last item is 7.5" long "Flintlock Jr." Hubley cap pistol w/plastic grip/body and plated metal barrel/firing mechanism. Some aging to gun frame but VF overall. Instruction sheet is included but heavily worn and just comes along. Rare, first we've seen in our 49 years.
