Item Description
9x13x2.5" deep box has graphics on lid of Fess Parker as Davy Crockett w/images of canteen and powder horn within. Daisy #2126. c. 1955. Box is complete w/original die-cut cardboard insert. Lid has 2.5x5.5" area at bottom of main lid panel showing obvious aging/wear w/tape repair to edge/corner splits. VG. Insert has some scattered aging but is o/w VF. Set consists of plastic one pint canteen w/sueded leather pouch/shoulder strap and plastic powder horn w/sueded leather sheath/carry cord. Canteen pouch has attached 1.75" tall plastic arrowhead w/Daisy logo on one side and "Davy Crockett Be Sure You Are Right Then Go Ahead" text on reverse. Canteen has Daisy logo on back, and "Davy Crockett" sticker on front that shows moderate aging. Powder horn cap marked "Walt Disney's Frontierland." Missing canteen cap. Canteen pouch shows scattered aging/wear and is Fine overall. Powder horn is Exc. Well made, rare set. Comes w/small cardboard shoebox containing pair of size 5.5 children's leather/suede shoes w/non-Disney "Davy Crockett" silk-screened name/image. Judy 'N' Jerry shoes, c. 1955. Box shows obvious wear/aging w/corner split and added cardboard reinforcement. Good/VG. Shoes appear unworn and are Exc. Scarce as boxed.
