Item Description
22.25x34.5." Graphic of hand gripping sign w/text "Stop Lynching." Background has industrial scene and water tower w/additional text at bottom "Shame Of America." Series of tiny pin holes roughly .75" apart along edges, 1" from top and 4.75" from bottom. Pins were used to attach textile to board for framing. VF. These tiny holes don't affect the bold central design which remains in beautiful condition and could be framed out if desired. A powerful civil rights artifact from the mid to late 1930s designed to be carried in May Day parades by an influential left wing art collective in New York City.
