Item Description
3.5" tall in dark bronze finish and stamped on back by Chicago maker S. D. Childs. Back has a few small, minor traces of green corrosion. Back also reads "Presented By Wm. Boldenweck" who in 1900 was President of the Chicago Sanitary District. Front top hanger has "1" over crossed sabers to symbolize TR's First Volunteer Cavalry with text "Cook County/Republican Rough Riders". Middle bar reads "Campaign 1900". Bottom suspension designed like an award medal has high relief TR portrait with "For Service Rendered" above. Only example we've seen. Very limited issue. Exc.
