Serial number # 65037 pp X featuring portrait of John C. Calhoun at left, image of two slaves working in field at top center and Liberty at right. Printed by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC, banknote is dated Nov. 20, 1862 at top. Signatures include - For Register - Mead; For Treasurer - Maus. Reverse has two cancellation stamps, reading "Interest Paid To 1st January 1863 At Augusta" and "Interest Paid To 1st January 1864 At Savannah." Three four vertical folds. Choice VF w/exceptional paper quality.
