Item Description
Each of these pins, with 1950 copyright on the card, are rare and even more so with the original card. Cards are 3.25x3.75". All have at least a few creases and one has brown age marks. Two have an old inked price on the blank reverse and the first has a few strips of tape on the back to repair an area where the pin goes through the cardboard. First is an elaborate design of Hoppy on Topper with gun raised in one hand and to the right is a cactus, fence rails and sign post "Hopalong Cassidy/(bar)XX Ranch." Pin is 1-3/8" tall. Next is 1-1/2" irregular shaped pin with rope design surrounding very high relief portraits of "Hopalong/Topper." From an opening in the rope below is suspended a metal six gun. Third is a 2" tall full figure pin of Hoppy with both guns drawn. Tiny spot of green corrosion under his hat brim at left. Last is 2" wide featuring die cut Hoppy head above a pair of crossed six guns while below are a pair of panels with the top one reading "Hopalong Cassidy" and the bottom one having his ranch brand (bar) XX. The pins themselves are Exc. to NM. An outstanding group.
