Item Description
12.25x15.25x3" deep illustrated cardboard box contains 15 flat tin litho soldiers, each 3.5" tall w/angled bases. Marx, 1930s. Box is complete w/original insert w/well containing "Ammunition"  box filled w/small corks. Bottom section has recessed area for included 13.75" long metal/wood cork-firing pop rifle. Box shows scattered wear, w/wear being more moderate to lid, including .5" hole on left side panel w/1" tear, one corner split and surface paper wear at edges. Lid has price P-B (Parke-Bernet) auction sticker at top right. Box displays Fine overall. Colorful soldiers include "American Doughboy, American Indian, Italian Bersaglieri Foot Soldier, Indian Army Sikhs, American Cowboy," etc. A few have tiny pinpoint nicks. Exc. overall. Nice set seldom seen boxed.
