Item Description
"Howdy Doody" doll stands 12.5" tall w/wood jointed body and painted composition head. Chest decal is near complete and includes Bob Smith copyright. Cameo w/decal on underside of one foot. c. 1950. Decal has a few tiny flakes, but these blend and all text remains legible. Doll is missing fabric neckerchief and narrow leather belt. Body has scattered general wear, some paint rubs but remains glossy. Head has typical scattered craze lines w/some tiny spots off one cheek, but overall still a very nice example. Fine. "Ferdinand" the Bull stands 8.25" tall w/original fabric tail, but missing mouth's flower attachment. Ideal, c. 1939. Black variety (also produced in brown). Detailed w/bee stencil on hindquarters. Typical lt. aging and crazing but not serious defects and appearance remains glossy. Fine/VF.
