Item Description
13.25" tall doll w/accordion spring body (which no longer squeaks), fabric outfit w/metal button and stuffed arms, wooden legs/feet and thin celluloid face. Complete w/1.25" dia. double-sided cardboard string tag noting "The Spearmint Kid With The Wrigley Eyes" and American B&B Novelties Company as maker. c. 1915. Outfit has even aging and face has .75" dent at left side of forehead, but this is partially hidden by outfit. Fine overall. Tag has tiny nick out of edge and has insect damage resulting in scattered surface paper loss. VG. Very rare and first we've seen in our 49 years.
