Item Description
Pair of illustrated cardboard boxes contain matching style pair of 6.25" long tin litho White 3000 tanker trucks of the era w/plated hubcaps and rubber tires. Made in Japan, but w/no company marks. 1958. "Gasoline Carrier" box clearly features images of "Mobil Gas" tanker which is faithfully reproduced as toy. Box is complete and has some lt. wear including .25" tear to end flap but is o/w VF. Toy's friction works and aside from some lt. wear, toy is Exc. "Water Sprayer" box has paper tape repairs to lid punctures and box bottom has had cardboard reinforcement added. VG/Fine. Toy has "New York City Dept Of Sanitation" name on tanker w/"Keep Your City Clean" text below. Scattered trace wear, but friction works and truck is VF/Exc.
