Item Description
10-7/8x16.75x4.75" tall tin litho playset features opening front doors, tin litho sandwich board signs w/travel text and exterior of building marked w/large "Grand Central Station" name over doors w/additional names marked - "Baggage Room, Buffet, Restaurant, Ticket Office" and "Waiting Room" on back w/"Eastbound/Westbound" designations. Lithography includes a number of people outside building. Original translucent red plastic windows in place. Has original connectors to operate interior lighting. Marx, 1937. Made to go with Marx electric train sets on layout but also makes a nice bkg. to display toy cars of the period such as Tootsietoys. Some scattered wear in the form of small paint nicks/scratches. Edges of tray have rubs w/streaks of bare metal showing. Fine/VF.
