Item Description
This unusual piece is the book plate example used for the photo in Hake Political Buttons Book III item #3101. 1-5/16" tall with a high relief brass frame designed as a wreath. Recessed at the center is a sepia cardboard photo w/just a couple of missing specks of surface paper and a pinpoint hole on his cheek visible under magnification. Extremely Fine displaying NM. Reverse is an oval brass plate with soldered vertical stickpin. Only example we've seen. Rare.
