Item Description
5-7/8x9.5x1.5" deep cardboard box w/wonderfully illustrated lid contains complete and unused parts for kit made in Japan for the Japanese market by Imai as part of their "Imai Plastic Model Junior Series," this being No. 9 "Superman-Car." Late 1960s. Box features image of Superman figure in built model, but it appears this figure was either not part of the set or was never produced. Box has some scattered aging/wear w/creases at lid corners. Fine/VF. Kit parts remain sealed and unused, complete w/instruction sheet, tiny metal tube of model glue, decal sheet, sealed bag of parts, springs for firing included plastic missiles at any of six different villains in Superman disguises. Cardboard sheet w/villains also has full body image of Superman to cut out. Sheet has some lt. aging but o/w parts are Mint as issued. Rare and first we've offered. Franco Toscanini Collection.
