Item Description
British actor Colin Clive (1900-1937) played Dr. Henry Frankenstein in James Whale's horror films "Frankenstein" and "Bride Of Frankenstein" during the 1930s. Although he was an in-demand actor for a number of actresses including Katherine Hepburn, Jean Arthur and Bette Davis, he will always be remembered for performances in Universal's first two Frankenstein films. Offered here is vintage 3.25x5.25" real photo postcard of the actor, who has signed in black ink at lower right, adding "Best Wishes" inscription. Postcard has some aging/handling and is VF overall w/Exc. signature/inscription. Scarce signed item (due to his death from alcoholism at the young at of 37) and very desirable among Frankenstein and Universal collectors. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
